Corona virus: what it is and how can I protect myself from it.

Corona virus: what it is and how can I protect myself from it.

How does corona virus disease spread?
The data showed that COVID-19 is transmitted primarily from person to person through close contact (within about 6 feet or 2 metres). The virus spreads through the respiratory droplets that come out of a person infected with the virus when he coughs, sneezes, breathes, sings or talks. A person close to him may inhale the spray or get it into his mouth, nose or eyes.

In some cases, the Covid-19 virus can spread when a person is exposed to small droplets or droplets that remain in the air for several minutes or hours, and this is called airborne transmission.

The virus can also spread if you touch a surface covered by the virus and then touch your mouth, nose or eyes. But the probability of danger in this case is low.

The COVID-19 virus can be transmitted from an infected person who does not show symptoms. This is called asymptomatic transmission. The COVID-19 virus can also be transmitted from an infected person who has not yet developed symptoms. This is called presymptomatic transmission.

It is possible to get infected with the Covid-19 virus two or more times, but this is uncommon.

What are the symptoms of covid 19 virus?
Symptoms of COVID-19 range from very mild to severe. Some people do not show symptoms. The most common signs and symptoms are fever, cough, fatigue, and loss of taste or smell.

Other signs and symptoms may include: shortness of breath, muscle aches, chills, sore throat, headache, chest pain, diarrhea, vomiting and nausea. This list does not include all symptoms; Other, less common symptoms were reported. Symptoms appear between 2 and 14 days after exposure to the virus.

Can covid 19 infection be prevented?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted emergency use authorizations for some COVID-19 vaccines in the United States. The US Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of the Pfizer-Biontech Covid-19 vaccine, now known as Kommernati, to prevent people 16 years of age or older from contracting Covid-19 disease. The US Food and Drug Administration has granted authorization for use in cases of Emergencies for the Pfizer-Biontech COVID-19 vaccine for children 5 to 15 years old. The FDA has also approved Moderna's vaccine, now known as SpikeVax, to protect people 18 years of age and older from contracting COVID-19. Vaccines can prevent you from contracting COVID-19 or prevent serious complications from COVID-19. As a result of exposure to the virus that causes it (Covid 19).

What can I do to avoid infection?
You can take some measures to reduce the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus and the possibility of spreading it to others. The World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommend the following measures:

receive vaccinations.
Avoid close contact (within about 2 meters or 6 feet) with anyone who is sick or showing symptoms of illness.
Maintain a distance of 2 meters (6 feet) between yourself and others when in enclosed public places if you have not received your full vaccinations.
Avoid crowded gatherings and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. And if you are unable to wash your hands, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains alcohol at a concentration of at least 60%.
Wear a mask in enclosed public spaces if you are in an area that has recorded a large number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients and new COVID-19 cases, whether or not you've been vaccinated. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends wearing the most effective masks available, and that they are tight and comfortable to use.
Cover mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing. Dispose of used tissues. Then wash your hands right away.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
Make sure to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
If you have a chronic disease, you may be more likely to develop severe complications of the disease. So you should consult your doctor about other ways to protect yourself.

Do I have to wear a mask?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the use of masks for the general public. If you're in an area with a high number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients and new COVID-19 cases, the CDC recommends that you wear a tight-fitting mask in enclosed public spaces, whether or not you've been vaccinated.

Wearing a mask in public may help reduce the spread of the disease by asymptomatic carriers of the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that you adhere to wearing the most effective masks available in prevention, and that they are tight and comfortable to use. Respirators such as the non-surgical N95 respirators provide maximum protection. Then the "KN95" respirators and medical respirators come in second place among the respirators that provide the highest level of protection. Cloth masks provide the least amount of protection. The Centers for Desi
ase Control and Prevention recommends allocating "N95" surgical masks to health care staff.

According to the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, after receiving the vaccine, you can safely resume many activities that you may not be able to do due to the pandemic conditions. But if you are in an area that has recorded a large number of hospitalized Covid-19 cases and new cases of the disease, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends wearing a muzzle in closed public places, knowing that you will not be fully immune until after one or more days have passed.
