AIDS: acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is a late stage of disease called immunodeficiency syndrome caused by a virus called HIV(human immunodeficiency virus)so the first point should be clarified is that a person can be a carrier of the virus but he doesn't develop the disease and this is very serious as it can infect many other people with no caution

AIDS is a famous disease all over the world and is very dangerous as millions of people passed away because of infection with HIV in the past people thought that AIDS was among men only and they thought it was the curse of gays and thought that women can not be infected with HIV until first cases of female AIDS appeared

HIV is a virus that targets T cells which is the major cell in the immune system of human body that's why day after day large amount of T cells are destroyed and thus the immune system becomes weaker than the day before and it makes your body susceptible to other infections by bacteria or viruses or fungus or any other organism can cause severe symptoms due to broken immune system

HIV is transported from one person to another person by sexual intercourse it is the most common route of spread,and women at a higher risk of infection than men during intercourse. Anal sex has the highest percent of infection that's why gays are the most affected. Social kissing is okay but in case of gum bleeding infection can occur while kissing

Spread of infection can occur by needles by mistake so AIDS is common between intravenous drug abusers and lab workers

HIV can spread from mother to fetus during pregnancy or even during breastfeeding by 40% in case of severe Tcell deficiency in the mother's body abortion could be indicated to prevent baby's infection

A patient with HIV may not show any symptoms if his T cell count is high, his body can fight infections but this patient represents a high risk on the surrounding people as it can deliver them an infection that can not be tolerated .but the patient with HIV is at high risk when his white cell count drops then it will be easy to catch any infection and may even cause death

Once the patient discover the virus he should take antiretroviral drugs to stop progression of the disease ,some patients isolated inside a ballon room with high pressure oxygen that can kill any organism thus protect against any infection.
