Public health is the science and art of preventing disease, promoting health and prolonging life through organized efforts and informed choices by communities, organizations, private and public communities, and individuals

Health promotion: Includes health education programs, creating a healthy environment, and supporting positive behaviors                                                                                                  .Emergency Response: Includes disaster preparedness, pandemic response, and humanitarian assistance.
Public health matters:

Improved quality of life: Communities with good public health have lower mortality rates due to disease and better quality of life.
Promoting economic growth: Good population health leads to a more productive workforce and reduces health care costs.
Social Justice: Public health ensures that all citizens have equal access to good health.
Public health challenges:

Infectious diseases: Infectious diseases, such as coronavirus,                                           continues to pose a serious threat to public health.
Chronic diseases: Chronic diseases such as obesity and heart disease are on the rise worldwide.

Epidemics such as the coronavirus pandemic that rocked the world in 2020, exposed the weakness of public health systems and poor preparedness to face such a crisis    Antibiotic-resistant infections: They pose a serious threat to public health, as some infectious diseases are difficult to treat.
Emerging diseases: like the Zika virus, pose a new public health threat.
2. Chronic diseases:

Cardiovascular disease: One of the leading causes of death worldwide.
Diabetes: Millions of people worldwide suffer from this disease and its incidence is on the rise.
Cancer places a heavy burden on public health systems.
3. Climate change:

Heat: Causes serious illness, especially in the elderly and children.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Insect-borne diseases: Malaria and elephant disease are becoming more widespread due to climate change.
Environmental pollution: Causes respiratory and other diseases.
4. Poverty and Inequality:

Mental health: This is a serious problem, especially in poor countries.
